Lake Ceva doesn’t see many ice-skaters these days, but the scene in this undated photo would have been common in winters past. “Back in the day we could not wait for the lake to freeze,” recalls Glenn Earl ’62. “Everyone had ice skates back then.” He and several classmates remembered spending many a chilly winter day skating on the lake and lighting bonfires on the shore. “I don’t think we did much skating; mostly the guys would chat-up the girls,” Earl said.
