The National Communication Association (NCA), the largest and most distinguished organization of communication scholars in the United States, has confirmed that TCNJ communication studies students have won more national honors in the form of elected officers and “best student paper in the nation” awards than have students from any other college or university in the United States.

David Holmes, professor of mathematics and statistics, spent his fall break giving talks on stylometry at two international conferences. The first conference was the London Authorship Attribution Forum at the University of London, and the second was a symposium on Turkish Language and Literature: Language and Style Analysis of Literary Texts at Suleyman Demirel University in Isparta, Turkey.

TCNJ ranks No. 26 for in-state tuition, and tops the list of only three New Jersey publics included in this ranking. (Rutgers University No. 43; Ramapo College No. 48.) Non-New Jersey residents attending TCNJ get a great deal, too: For out-of-state tuition, the College ranks No. 12.

Teach for America has selected 11 TCNJ students to join its ranks, giving these students a valuable opportunity to help narrow the national achievement gap.

The team gave the best showing of any moot court team in College history—outperforming 80 teams (160 students total) from 35 colleges and universities at the competition, which took place at Chapman University Law School in Orange, CA.
