In April, the Department of Health and Exercise Science held its first Senior Dinner and Alumni Panel, honoring six graduates for demonstrated excellence in their chosen fields and for serving as role models who reflect the high quality of the department’s programs. The honorees, Charles Miller ’86, Tony Rienzo ’04, Tracy Radler ’92, Charles Inverso ’79, John Simone ’75, and Michael Falvo ’04, became the first group of alumni to have their name added to the department’s Wall of Fame. The wall is a visual testament to the department’s appreciation and pride for the inductees, said HES Program Assistant Carol Wells. It includes a photo and biography of each inductee, as well as a brief narrative detailing why each chose TCNJ, their career path since graduating, and their advice to current students. The evening’s festivities included a question and answer session in which the alumni honorees shared insights and advice about careers and graduate school with the department’s graduating seniors. Plans are underway for next spring’s event; contact the alumni office (alumni@tcnj.edu) for more information.
